1. Strategic Consultation and Planning
Every web Development project will include at least one consultative session. With the advent of technology, it doesn’t have to be in person, but it will include a review of your content, expectations, business needs, services/products, and the proposal review. The consult will discuss your typical customer and what will meet their needs. Collaborative input to help drive development is imperative in meeting your vision and expectations.
2. Design
This is where we create the first visual form of your website. We will simulate the site with one or more Photoshop designs or use one of our development sites to display the site to you for feedback. Once the designs are complete, we again display your site on one of our development sites for further review and refinement.
3. Design Evaluation & Revisions
It’s possible you will want to make some changes; that’s normal and expected. As long as you are striving to meet your target audience’s expectations, you are moving in the right direction. Because a design often entails some revisions, we encourage our clients to review the site for a day or so before submitting changes. This could save you a few revisions. We never ask a client to approve something immediately. We always encourage them to walk away from it and look it several times with “fresh eyes.”
4. Revision
We have no limit to the number of revisions during the initial development stage. In fact, we can completely change direction if you feel the current design is not what you’ve envisioned. Submitted changes continue via the phone, email, or even through a live design session (in person or on the web) until you approve the design.
5. Conversion to a working website
Once the design is approved, the design is moved into production to a working website. If you decide to change the design once it is moved into this phase, there may be additional charges. The timeline for the conversion depends upon your project scope and complexity.
6. Onsite SEO & Content
Meta information, alt tags, etc., and content are added.
7. Beta & Browser/Device Testing
You are given an opportunity to test your website and note any issues. We will also test your website on all modern devices and browsers.
8. Training
Training is provided on updating your site’s content and managing your website.
9. Website Launch
The site is launched and made live for the public.
10. Ongoing Support, Marketing, and Updates
Search engine optimization, internet marketing, and regular technical updates begin and are scheduled.
